What I mainly knew about the Balabac Islands were that they were geographically closer to Malaysia than Palawan’s capital city of Puerto Princesa. I found a tour group that journeyed to one of the islands, with day trips planned to those incredibly stunning, sunny beaches I’d been seeing more of. All in!
We visited Onok Island on our second day, perhaps the most photographed of Balabac’s outlying islands. Clear to see why!
People visit for a reason. This steamed crab lunch will always be one of my life’s favourite meals!
